kodiak bullets
Im just wondering has any body used or is useing Kodiak bullets, more specifically the 400 gn 416 proj.....im intrested to get feed back on this projectile .... does it open more readily then the swifts woodleighs North Forks in the same weight/cal

No, tho I can't statistically prove that. I've never been able to recover one. I do know that 2400 fps mv they will travel thru over 4' of brown bear. Completely pulverising the upper front leg bone shattering the shoulder. Make a big hole all the way thru and keep right on sailing off into the blue. I wouldn't say they were better than those you listed. But they aren't any worse. At least not the ones I've used.

I don’t have any experience with the .416 cal bullets but theier .458 405gr JSP bullets are some of the best I have ever used in the 45/70. They are both accurate and extremely tough.

thanks for your input i just got a pm from Phil Shoemaker and he said the kodiak bullets as far as tougness goes are more along the lines of the swift aFrames, and there a pretty stout proj esp in 416...and in 45 cal you feel there a pretty stout proj ....thats good info for me thanks
im just trying to get the guys e mail that makes the kodiak bullets , as i have rung him a few times , but just got the answering service...
