SaeedGentlemen,Please Post Political Threads On The Political Foprum
I have moved a number of threads, which were purely politica, from this forum to the Political Forum.

DMBSaeed,
I know you have your rules and I abide by them. However, there are a lot of guys posting here who do not visit the Political Forum, and are VERY interested in reading about Sarah Palin. They would read about her with postings on this Forum.

SaeedWe try to keep all posts on the hunting forums indefinitely.
And those on the Political forum get deleted after a few months.
We are doing this mainly because politics changes almost on a daily basis, while hunting posts can be relevant to someone coming to look for them in the future.
That is why we have the political forum for the discussion of politics, and seperate hunting forums to cater for different parts of the world.
A long time ago, we had just one continuous thread. One could post any subject he please.
That worked as long as we have relatively a few new posts every day.
The software could be set to allow up to 1,000 posts, sorted by date.
We get over that many posts daily now. And have set up different forums for different subjects to be discussed.
It basically makes it easier for those who wish to participate.
So if you really wisht o discuss Sarah Palin, that belongs to the political forum.

gumboot458... Some of us Alaskans may have gotten a little over exuberant about our governor being selected for such a position . But Saeed is totally right it is political and should be in the politics dept ..,.
.If it can,t be grown , its gotta be mined ....

GAHUNTERI understand where Saeed is coming from, this being an international forum and all.
However, the nomination of Sarah Palin, an Alaskan huntress, and Governor of the state, to become the next Vice President (and maybe first female President) of the United States
IS Alaskan hunting news! She's one of US! (No matter what state you happen to be from)
I come here to get
ALASKANS' opinions on her, particularly Alaskan HUNTERS impressions. Anything you guys happen to post in the Political Forum simply gets moved down (and quickly off) the page by the numerous "wingnuts" that dominate that silly forum.

Paul HPersonally I don't mind discussing Sarah on the forum, as she is an Alaskan and a hunter. But I respect Saeed's wishes as he has graciously provided these forums to us all on his own dime, advertisement free.

+1 more
I know Saeed is paying the tab of this site, and it is "good to be the KING". But he does ignore his own rules at time when he post on the African Hunting Forum. About Walter's latest blunder/stunt etc. in Dubai, or his personal zoo critters. Not that they are not worth reading, but if anyone else posted something of that ilk, it would be moved to somewhere else. I have seen political/non hunting post on the Aussie forum and they do not seem to get moved to the "Crator".

I must admit that I am an AR addict and have been for several years now. As this is about the only site I go to on the web and the only one I post on. I have gotten to meet lots of other posters here, shot with many of them and hunted with some, too.
To Saeed, to me, the threads about the Gov. Palin was Alaskan oriented and could have been deleted by the Mod. after it had grown cold. Just like the want ads or the Crator post, and the way the Humor forum needs to be dumped after a week or month, as they just repeat over and over.

If you (we, us??) can't play by Saeed's Rules
then maybe you should play elsewhere??????

I have enjoyed this site way too long and for free, to bitch about any trivial Bull Shit!!

SaeedGentlemen,
It is not an easy task to go through so many forums and clean them up.
It is time consuming and requires a lot of effort as well time.
No one on this site gets paid for their trouble.
Don, our Adminstrator, and all the Moderators, are doing this from their kindness, and I suspect their enjoyment.
Whenever something political that is relevant to hunting is posted, we leave it there.
If there is something that is purely political, then we prefer to have it on the Political Forum.
Some of you might try participating on that forum.
It is quite fun, as long as you take everything posted with a large doze of salt!
Those who take it seriously, though, get mad as hell, and get themselves in quite an upraor

Our Political Forum is a sort of "mini world".
People scream their heads off about all manner of subjects that do affect us from day to day.
The end result, however, is one big fat ZERO.

Moose-HunterThe political forum is a joke, at best. The same can be said for the veteran ass clowns there as well..........

DMBSaeed,
As I said earlier, this is your house, and I abide by your rules. Most importantly, I sincerely thank you for having this site as I spend a whole lot of time here daily; probably more time than I spend anywhere else as there are great folks from all nations that I can interact with. I'm 74, live alone, and this is my living room.
As Moose said, the Political Forum is a joke for many folks posting here. There are many days I just can't bring myself to put up with the likes of the dumb fuck from Denver, and his clone buddy from Canada. So, I don't visit there often.
Maybe this is one time in life to look the other way and allow posts about Sarah Palin here.
It's your call.
But, I want to make a posting about Sarah, for the regulars here on the Alaska Forum. If you need to move it, please do so.

Yum yum!, I'm so glad I looked all the way down this thread!, What a great looking lady, & that handbag disguised as a firearm!

GAHUNTERUnfortunately, that photo is a proven fake making its way around the internet.
06 September 2008, 22:22
Swamp_FoxI don't know about the unfortunate part. My guess is that Mrs. Palin is in better shape than that.

DMBYep, I learned that it was photoshopped after I posted it. Sorry about that.
The message is still valid however, and that's why I posted it in the first place.

If she's half as good as the pic, that's fine by me!, Seriously though I think the McCain/Palin ticket has to be the one for me in the U.K.

GAHUNTERWell, Steve, at least The Sun seems to really like her! (I wish all newspapers were like The Sun. Unfortunately, here, most are like The Guardian -- left wing, socialist rags.)
