B&C Sheep

Here is a picture of the biggest ram I have ever seen let alone shot. Never really cared if I got a book ram, but it just made it that much sweeter!

Thanks! I was 41 1/2" x 14 1/2 bases. Held its mass all the way through. I would have to look at the score sheet, but I think 171 and some change was the final score. I've killed a lot of rams, but nothing like this one. I wish I had a picture of the group before we got ours out of it. It was "regal" to see a group of 11 rams all sleeping 50 yards away! That picture will is an image I will never forget.

That comment right there makes all sheep hunting worthwhile. I've seen similar. A chill just runs up & down my spine when I see a group of rams together and it's too bad more people can't have that type of life experience.

The best part was I am not sure my buddy or I got the biggest of the group. Certainly didn't get the cream of the crop. Story that I just can't tell at this time! It might pop up down the road in a hunting book though!

I know the feeling. The last time I went to the Yukon, I thought this might be my last sheep hunt. I was cold & wet. Tired from 10 days of non stop climbing. Tired of horrible weather. Thinking I was too old. Then I peered over the ledge and saw those rams. All those thoughts were erased from my mind.

Hell of a ram brother.

Nice! Best of luck! I will find a white sheep one way or another! Either where I found this one or in the Wrangell St. Elias park later in the season!

I think you must have had a great hunt.
What a great Ram
Harvesting a ram of any size is one of the greatest hunts a guy in North America could ever experience.
At any age.

He didn't get that ram from any of those areas. Just your average over the counter harvest tag in an area that anyone can get to.

Not sure which did the damage! Both hit it. I'm guessing the .300 did it, but not sure to be honest with you. Both shots made it dead!
