Thebear_78I have had similar experiences and heard a number of more horror storries about them. To thier credit though I am really impressed by their aftermarket parts for the marlin guide guns and the only work I have ever had them done was done well. I even took my guide gun to them one time because it was jamming, and they found a loose screw was the problem and didn't even charge me for looking at it. THey have some really good gunsmiths working for them but the one office guy is a POS. He is the one with a new york accent. The same guy is also the reason I don't like shooting at that rabbit creek rifle range. A lot of the time he is there working the range, some times its about all I can take to not get ahold of him by the throat. Just has a way of talking down to people.

I too have a long sad tale that I will not go into. I will say that a buyer should use caution. There's better work at better prices out there.

Is he one of those urbanites that looks down on "country bumpkins"?

a120Well, I came all the way from Norway for some other work related issues and to visit specifically that gun shop.
Oh, what beautiful guns! The new 04, the Co Pilot, the Pro Guide etc…all with triggers better than most bolt actions I have felt. My point is: you don’t know how lucky you are. Over here you don’t even see such guns anywhere, ordering one from a smith would be close to impossible and a timeframe – don’t even ask…
So - someone had to wait for a custom gun, well isn’t that half the fun? Most god experiences have three stages; the anticipation, the event itself and finally the memories. Knowing that acquiring something took both time and effort, - when time pass by it just makes the history better for the grandchildren.
Maybe it’s just me, but I walked in there with a positive attitude, and walked out even happier and with some $ less. Nice people at the counter, Jim West himself was polite enough for me, maybe just a little bit shyer than some….

OH Mr. Wildalaska,, as he calls himself on many other websites. And yes he is a A-Hole extraordinaire. I could go into some personal stories but I'll save you the gory details.
That scum bag needs to crawl back into his hole in Brooklyn and stay there.
