ALASKA is a "HARD COUNTRY for OLDMEN". (But if you live it wide'ass open, balls'to the wall, the pedal floored, full throttle, it is a delightful place, to finally just sit-back and savor those memories while sipping Tequila).

I got to sit and watch a Toklat Bear (almost white) in the Ladue River drainage 20 years ago. First time and last time so far. tu2

Not the biggest bear that we saw last fall, but I think that he was the prettiest.

I read this last night. Great read. Spent 7 days fishing the Wulik in August and saw a ton of bears. Tempted to book a Brooks Grizzly trip in the coming years. Hate it’s so expensive considering they seemed as prolific as Texas coyotes up there.
