MotorCityHas anyone hunted w/DENALI GUIDES & OUTFITTERS in GMU 13
I thinking of hunting with DENALI GUIDES & OUTFITTERS in GMU for Grizzly/black bear. I was told I could make it a combo hunt and add moose for a few K more. Has anyone hunted with them and how is the Grizzly/Moose population in the GMU 13?
Thanks

AkshooterI'd resrarch this one carfully. I'll have to check but I'm pritty sure that there is no non- resident season in 13 at all.
Decent # of bears both black and brown but there in pockets.

jake jeffersonI know billy he guides in some of the same areas i do....moose in the area are slim to none, grizz and blacks are good though, i'd ask him where he was gonna take you for moose, i know it won't be unit 13 but you'll have to fly somewhere else for moose and thus loose a day of hunting. Alot of times outfitters will add these add ons to really make it look more apealing, i'll take you out for white stripped black bear for a trophy fee as well if you'll book a hunt with me. Remember you've only got X amount of time, don't bit off more than you can chew just cause its in front of you. pace yourself and concentrate on one or two animals tops. feel free to email me or pm if you have specific questions.

MotorCityJake you have a PM.
Trying to find a good PH/Guide is very hard.
Can anyone tell me what GMU produces the biggest grizzly's? I am trying to book 2 bear hunt for myself and my father. I know it is late.

M70NutKodiak or the Ak peninsula are where you will find the biggest bears.........or maybe Russia.

MotorCityHas anyone here hunted in Russia recently. That would not be a bad hunt. I think those hunts run around $10K. What time of year do they hunt there?

Grizzly AlbertMotor City,
Last I checked, you had to get to Kamchachka(sp)via Moscow. No flights from Alaska. That's when I canned the idea of a Russian hunt.

AkshooterI haven't done it (no need to) but after you consider added airfares shipping cost import permits headaches with customs, U.S.&F.W, Dept of Agraculture, Cites permits, Export permits from Russia etc. You won't save anything.
I've seen a few really big bears come out of Russia but my understanding is that most are prity small.
