MOON PHASE AND BEAR
In springtime black bear hunting how significant is moon phase?

I looked at an old post about Brown bear and moon phase but it related to fall season.

Into my heart on air that kills
From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?
That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.

tsturm,
Good point.

We non-Alaskans forget how long the daylight is up there and try to apply what we experience down here to up there.

Thanks.

Tsturm is spot on. Moonlight is much less a factor than weather.

You wouldn't think it would make much difference in a place that gets 150"+ of precipitation but you'll definately see more bear activity on the first pleasant day after a wet spell. Cold, calm, and clear will beat warm, wet, and windy anytime.
