Anybody use a Weatherby SuperBig Game Master rifle
I just love the Weatherby Big Game Master rifle. It has the tough composite stock, very light, and blackened stainless steel with a fluted barrel. Do any of you guys own one? How do you like it? Is recoil noticably harder because of the light weight? I want mine in the 300 Weatherby cartridge. Is it a joy to handle, carry? Accurate?

Thanks for your help!!

I use a Weatherby Accumark in 338-378 and love it.It will shoot groups as small as .25 at 100 yards with a Nosler Partition doing 3150 fps.I let a 11 year old friend shoot a caribou with it.He got two with one shot at 400 yards. Its an awsome rifle I have two of them.I use a 6.5 x 20 Nikon on one and a 5.5x 15.5 Nikon on the other one .They are long range big game rifles. They dont kick at all with the brake on them.I take muffs wit h me for hunting.

I have three of them and they are very accurate and tough rifles. I don't think you will be dissapointed in it.

I have an UltraLightweight in 300 Wby caliber, weight 6 3/4 pounds with 26" barrel but without scope, ammo, or sling.

It will shoot into 1.5 MOA, with the first shot out of cold barrel being a little closer. That's plenty.

It is a joy to carry all day compared with heavier rifles.

I have several wbys, have had good luck with them. I have a 300 wby mag ultralite, its been with me from Alaska to Africa and lots of Texas and Mexico hunting. Got it the first year they came out. It's held up very well and makes a very good mountain rifle. Depending on the load it shoots one half to one moa, can't complain.

What an amazing thread! A group of unashamed Weatherby fans...I am an un-abashed Weatherby shooter. I have your basic over-the-counter .300 Wby, which is an excellent rifle. I shoot 180 NP in it..it is normally used on caribou, but I plan on hunting pronghorn with it using 150 NP later this year. My favorite rifle is my .378. I carry that rifle most of the time here up here..it is tough and accurate, and I have taken it to Africa once. It will go again. I also have a .416 Wby. I need to get a .338-378.
