fantastic post.

Dream hunt in '54 just as much as it would be today.

Few hunts were documented this well in '54

ALLEN W. JOHNSON - DRSS

Into my heart on air that kills
From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?
That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.

Makes one very nostalgic of old times past. I have a lot of old hunting pictures of my father from 1954. He, those places and times have long since gone.

That's what it's all about reddy. Get those pics to me and we'll make a proper tribute to your father, those places and times. Hunting folks will download them, save them and ensure their survival, for all time.

Nickudu ----- Many thanks for the adventure. It reminds me of my Brown Bear and Caribou hunt at Cold Bay, Moose hunt in the Farewell Burn, and Caribou-Wolfe hunt at Lake Iliamna. Now I am in the mood to crack open one of my Russell Annabelle books and reread it in front of the fireplace with John Denver on the player. Good shooting.
