bdoyleTrigger choices for Rem 700LH
I have been looking at replacement triggers for my new VSF. The choices seem to be timney and basix. Would like a nice 1.5 to 2.0 lb pull. Looks to me that the basix uses the factory safety but the timney has no safety at all? I'm having a hard time collecting good information.
Thanks!

We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't, Which purportedly covers at least ten million more people, without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that didn't read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a President, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we'll be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke!!!!! JMJ888Jewell's are all I use in my 700's. I have four of them ranging in weights from 9 ounces on a target rifle up to about 1.5 pounds on my 375. They are expensive but worth every single penny in my opinion.
Try Bruno's Shooter Supply (brunoshooters.com)...they usually have the cheapest prices.

Just Some GuyThe Timney unit is identical to the factory trigger with the exception of being wider; i.e. the factory unit can be tuned to provide the same pull the Timney unit is designed to provide.

bdoyleWell I ordered a Jewell from Bruno's this morning. They had it in stock so I should have it in a few days.
Thanks for all the replies!

bdoyleTrigger arrived today, looks real good but I thought the trigger itself would be a bit wider. Hopefully I'll get it installed this weekend and give it a workout next week.
jtinidaho: Yes I've been here a while just don't post very much. Read a lot though.
Thanks!

bdoyleThe diference is like night and day. I can see how you could need one on each rifle you own. I did not touch the adjustments yet but the trigger breaks very nice and just when I want it to. The safety and bolt release fit and work like factory. Now to find the bullet/load that makes it happy.
