FridayHelp Needed on Pricing a LH Stainless Browning
I would appreciate any advice you all might have. I have been wanting to buy a left handed Browing Stainless Stalker in 7mm Mag. I have one in .338WM and I love it. I saw a used one in nice shape with a 3x9 Leupold Vari X II (older - not a VX II) mounted on it. Asking price is $750. Do you all think that I am better off going for new one or going for the used one? Thanks.

GeorgeSThat price would equate to ~$200 for the scope and rings, and $550 for the rifle. That is not a bad price.
You should have the throat on ANY fast magnum checked for erosion before putting down your money. I have seen a lot of people shoot strings of five or even ten rounds in very short order repeatedly.

Cliff LyleI'll agree with George. It's a very fair price. In the end, you only have to convince one person that it's a good deal. And that's you.

Vol717I find no stainless LH Browning X Bolts in any of my wholesaler's inventories. There may be an A bolt stainless but I didn't see one. That is a good price on the gun. You would have to pay $400 more for new.

Nanook 450I have several LH A-Bolts - 375, 300 win, 270 win and 325 wsm. That 325 is becoming my go to gun, because its on a short action and shoots extremely well. I see a 325 titanium that I would love to have - they are pricey - around $1,300 but would be a fine addition to your collection. Otherwise I've given away and traded my two 7 mags as they are so close ballistically to the 300 win mag.
