FjoldZastava Mauser actions?
I saw on another thread here that Midway is listing Zastava Mauser actions for sale "coming soon".
I just sent them an email asking if they were going to import left handed actions. I still need a couple of those.

GerryGood Luck Frank.
Please let us know the results of your request.
I have been occaisionally checking their website for the past couple of years and the Left Hand Models they previously listed are apparently no longer available.
I've got a real twitch for a L/H standard length action with a magnum bolt face (I can visualize a .416 Taylor).

FjoldHere's what I got back from Midway:
Dear Mr. O:
Thank you for your recent email, as of right now I do not show that we will be carrying the left handed actions. You can actually go on our website and and at the bottom of the homepage click on the "I wish you carried"
link and request that this be an item that we should carry. Our sales and marketing team look at those request and try to get those items from the vendors. We apologize for any inconvience.
Thanks for your business,
Heather

So I'll guess that I'll go ahead and click on their link and ask for it.
EDIT to add: If you go to Midwayusa.com and put your curser on "Gunsmithing", it will give you a drop down menu. Click on the gray box that says "Gun Parts by Gun make and model"
Go to the bottom of the page and there will be a picture of a blue ink pen that says "Is there an item that you wish we carried? Please Tell Us About It"
Click there.17 November 2009, 19:53
Stu CFrank,
Thanks for posting this. I think the price they have on the RH actions is pretty good. Can only hope there won’t be too big a premium on LH actions – if we ever see them again. I bought 3 of the LH standard actions and 1 LH mini towards the end of when Charles Daly had them.
I’ve never seen my actions as they were shipped straight to the gunsmith, but he tells me they’ll come up nicely after he gets through with them. So far I’ve had Satterlee 3-P safeties added to the 3 standard actions and I’m waiting on another of Satterlee’s safeties for the mini. I have a set of the bottom metal that James Anderson made for the mini actions. The standard actions will receive modified bottom metal as well, and all 4 will get a surface grind and new bolt handles. The work is going slowly at the gunsmith, but I’ve got other rifles to shoot in the meantime. My 4 actions will be turned into a 222, 257 Roberts, 30-06 and 9.3x64 respectively. Should about cover me for most of my hunting.
I’m not really looking for more actions now but I’ll go ahead and click the Midway link. We all need options.
Cheers,
- stu
