SnowwolfeJust what every left handed shooter needs............a rifle with a ejection port on the right side.
My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

ClaymanHey, it may not be perfect, but I applaud the innovation. You have a more mainstream company coming out with something that's only previously been reserved for zee high-end European companies. No, I'm not wowed about the ejection port on the wrong side, but maybe they'll get there. Savage has always shown a willingness to make rifles for the "other" side. Their custom shop will do pretty much whatever you want without ripping you off.
It'll be really nice for righties shooting at a bench. Left bolt, right port for loading ammo.

Nordic2I saw a lefthanded Remington 600? in 6mm rem with a box mag and RH ejection port for 200$ I wonder why its so cheap???
Hate then they dont finish it as a lefthand rifle to then the only they need are a actionblock and a bolthead. Price in Sweden I expect it to be 200$ more expensive than a lh Tikka. A 9 pound rifle in .308w whats heavy and the cheap trigger are still on.

That was probably a Remington 788, they were originally offered in 6mm and 308. I bought my left handed 308 in 1975 for $105 brand new (The right handed version was $99).
I actually like the left bolt, right port when shooting off the bench as it's easier to see into and single load. When I'm hunting, I never noticed what side the port was on.
Edit: I still have that Model 788 in my safe.

Some benchrest rifles are buildt that way, bolthandle on one side ejection on the other. Yes i can shoot with a auto or a leveraction without having any negative effects of the ejection. I still wouldn`t buy a bolt action without being proper LH. I didn`t buy a Blaser r93 with LH bolt because they had the same stock on it and it still costed 300$ more than a RH.

Vol717It’s crude and as heavy as a Blaser R8. I won’t buy one.

Martin@HinI like to see and handel one.
I like to find out if its just as accurate as a good B action.
I don't have a problem with the ejection port matter of fact I like it for single loading.
Savage made actions like that for a long time.
If its just as accurate as the average semi there is not much point however with the current anti semi/ confiscation going on it may fill a gap.
I have to say as a lefty I have been shooting 50 years with rh bold guns and I hate the 60 dec bold throw ,on a well made (602 BRNO/ 550 CZ its ok.
If I was living in a area with lots of hogs I would look into seriously
Ya'll have a great day.
