formula1guyBuilding a lefty Blaser
Has anyone here pieced together a R8 or R93 from various parts you can find on the web? Easier or harder than you thought? Took longer than you thought? Saved some money? Let me know, I keep seeing left handed stocks and actions around and it got me thinking….

SnowwolfeCheaper to just order the complete rifle "kit" unless you are looking for used components.
Larry will set you up with a good price.

Nordic2R93 has just the upper part of the action and the bolt lefthanded so you can switch action parts with a righthanded. Never seen any lefthand stocks as a part.

Cliff LyleR93's, for a while, had an optional LH palm swell. I believe the R8 is all neutral. Mine is. I own 2 R93's, one with the LH palm swell, one neutral and an R8 with a neutral stock.
You can certainly find all the parts scattered around the internet but as someone above suggested, It may well be less expensive and take less time to buy your stock, barrel, LH bolt and bolt head.

Nordic2Most lefthanded here has bought the righthanded/straight r93 offroad stock, not really a lh stock.
1000$ for lh r8 bolt
400$ for lh r8 bolthead
Is really expensive.
3700$ for a rh r8 professional

Cliff LyleNordic, I don't know if Blaser is even making the LH palm swell anymore. I believe they have gone to an ambidexterous stock to allow left and right hand shooters the comfort they want.

SnowwolfeFor the first time Blaser buyer the Professional kit is a nice way to go:
http://www.blaser-usa.com/index.php?id=1175&L=1Biebs suggested I contact Larry when I was looking to buy and glad I did. Best price and Larry will work with you and switch out barrels or scopes to give you want you want to match your hunting needs.
Plus the fitted case is fricking cool!
The Pro kit will most likely set you back just under $4K.
