ROSCOEFunny Ad
Last night I was catching up on some reading….I was behind on the monthly gun rags. Anyhow I saw an ad that made me laugh. I believe it was for Weaver optics and it showed a guy sitting on the ground with his rifle on a set of shooting sticks ready for a shot. There was a dead coyote in front of him and the add said something like “He can’t see me, but I can see him with my 14 power scope” The photo looked odd to me and it took a few seconds for me to figure out why. Eventually I realized the shooter in the photo was using a LH rifle but was shooting RH.
Like many of you I grew up shooting RH rifles and learned how to work the action as a lefty. Never thought I would see a RH shooter having to deal with the same issue.
If I had a way to scan the add I would post you my LH brothers to look at but that is not an option. Look for it and tell me if you see the same bit of humor that I do. Come to think about it, this is actually the second time I have seen this. I believe Sierra had a similar add a few years ago. Maybe there is a secret LH shooter out there somewhere in the ad agency that has a good sense of humor!

FjoldI remember the Sierra one.
The answer was that the photographer liked the composition of the shot but wanted the shooter's face in the picture so had him pose right handed.
