Too bad it's a 7mm I'd be interested in an 30-06

Dirk, I haven't seen any. Are you specifically looking for an '06 or are you looking for an action for a project?

Have one, NIB. But it would cost you a pretty penny as I really don't want to sell it... LOL

Then put a scope on it and take it out huntingSmiler

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

NIB LH? Is that a custom shop rifle?

Talked to FN today they said they are off 1-2 years before re-introducing a Lt. handed Win. M70. They took my name and phone number the more calls and emails they receive from us southpaws will get the ball rolling sooner. Demand equates to production was the customer service guys advice.

Nope, not a custom shop rifle. Winchester produced left-hand model 70s for several years.
I bought one just because......(??)...I'm left-handed and like the model. But, I have other rifles I enjoy using, both right and left-hand models. I have a (right-hand, obviously) older Mannlicher Schoenauer carbine in 30-06 that is such a pleasure to carry and to shoot, that it seems to accompany me regularly. So, must peddle the new LH Winchester, also a LH stainless Rem. 700 in 300RUM with muzzle break and Leupold variable, also a LH Rem 700 BDL 338 Win. Mag with a custom-machined muzzle break (by Dennis Olsen) that turns the rifle from a shoulder-whomper to a caress.
.........will offer them somewhere soon.

Snowwolfe,

I would, but I like my M70 in 6.5x55 better... When I have a need for more rifle I will. But then again my M70 270 SS/7 mag/375 may go ahead of it...

Thanks on the info from FN-Winchester, a 1-2 year wait for you means a 3-4 year wait in Australia, at least they are going to make them!

Something of note on the new M70's. To date I've spoke or received third party knowledge of four people who have bought the new Rt. handed M70's in calibers 243 and 30-06. Everybody without exception is very pleased with the out of the box accuracy and finish of these rifles, most of them being .5 MOA or better.
