LH Stainless Rugers in 375 Ruger
I thought some of the members here might be interested that Davisons Gallery of Guns had 20 LH SS rifles in 375 Ruger listed for sale. I know they are kind of hard to come by. They might make someone an excellent Christmas present. I have no ties to Davisons, just passing the word along.

I have one and love it, got it over a year ago. With that being said I think some of the stories that Ruger put out are BS. The story I heard was that a few years ago they made 100 of these rifles and that was it. But I have seen too many of them up for sale to believe that only 100 were made.

They had 18 in stock last night and reasonably priced. On 24 hr Campfire a guy bought one and it came in 23" barrel with barrel sling swivel. Original production in 08 had 20"barrel without barrel sling swivel, I like mine.

Guy that bought one reposted that barrel was 20"
not 23"

I think the story about only 100 being made was so a $600.00 gun would sell for $1000.00 or more.

Most of them I heard sold a few years ago, went for around $650, on the secondary market, they went for more. Nothing surprising about that. What is a little bit surprising to me, is Ruger is churning out 1000 of these things, at all. I mean really, how many shooters buy anything that big?

Full disclosure. I bought one of the first "100" on the secondary market, but it was not for a grand. Just a little mark up. That is what I will tell myself Roll Eyes

Maybe someday, I will get back to Alaska, where a gun like that has some practical use. Smiler

It is fun to shoot, and with the twenty inch barrel, a handy piece, and fun to play with.

They have been going for about $1500, but I suppose this new run will change that pretty quick

There's one left and the detailed description shows a 23" barrel with a barrel band.

I guess that is the difference between these different production runs. Mine is one of the 20" barrels. Maybe I guess in the first run only a 100 were made.

Love mine. Weird thing is I found mine on GunBroker through a seller that just listed the info by the Ruger model number. A search on the model number matched up with the first run through Lipsey's. Maybe I stumbled on to mine right after they became available, but until the Davidson's info appeared, there was a lot of conflicting info. Didn't know what I was going to get until I went to pick it up, and I still got the description wrong in my initial report/review! Mine is a 20" barrel, barrel band, and fixed sight. Lucked into mine at a price about 200 cheaper than the dealers in my area that Davidson references.

I'm just thankful another run was done. Even though it is complete overkill for Texas deer and hogs, I'll enjoy shooting it at the range and downloaded like a 375 Winchester for more practical hunting application.

Get one while you can!

...on earth as it is in Texas

As a lefty myself, I think these are a deal, although currently my go to guns are of the Remington persuasion, but that will change as I ordered a one to try. I have been biased long enough and for the money these are going for... why not.

In all seriousness I might consider offers, as I seriously doubt I will be hunting buffalo for some time and I have plenty of rifles capable of taking plains game.

i seen some 1 here say " how many of these rifles could they every ossibly sell" its not about need in the usa with a 375 its a matter of want and ill tell you right now they could make 5000 375 rifles and ever single last 1 of them will sell.. for nearly 8 years the smallest centerfire rifle in my gun cabinet was a 375 h&h i used it to shoot deer bear coyotes ect i broke down after years and years and finaly bought a 22-250 and a a few 22 mags and 17 hmr's i still use the 375 h&h as my normal big game rifle for anything dder and up here in canada

As near as I can tell, and I've been in rather close contact with the Ruger folks, there will be no more of these LH stainless 375s. Ruger made the first run because of an error in turning stock barrel channels too large, and the second run was to use up metal parts. Only around 175 guns in total were made, although I can't determine exact production quantities. I am inferring that figure from inventory balances I was given at different times. I have kept three consecutive numbered guns for myself and I have two more for sale on Gunbroker and Gunsinternational.

I sold one gun yesterday and now there is only one left for sale. It had to come to this, but it makes me a little sad to think that there are no more. On the other hand, I have made a lot of lefties very happy with their perfect big game gun. And I still have three of my own.
