Western Caucasus
This past month of September I hunted the Western Caucasus for Kuban Tur and Caucasian Chamois.
We had to hunt hard, as the Turs were quite high, but I finally had a good chance at my Tur and my Chammy and could get both. Those mountains are treacherous, but in my opinion not as much as those in Azerbaijan where I hunted Dagestan Tur a few years ago. Turs are not as plentiful, though.
I had excellent guides and good weather most of the time, and enjoyed every minute of the hunt.
Here are a couple of photos:

Those mountains look scary, beautiful animals though.

BTW, lots of vegetation compared to where I hunted which was rock + rock...

To make sure I hunted the most Kuban territory, to avoid hybridation areas that gave origen to the Mid Caucasian Tur, I hunted as far West as possible, and the territory there is not so rocky as the more Eastern areas.
In any case do not let the photo fool you as that is where we retrieved the Tur after falling off a cliff and the sliding on the grass for more than 400 meters.

Well done. We don't read much about the Kuban tour, mostly the Dagestan... I have never seen a report on the Mid Caucasian.

Very well done, the Turs have to rank among the toughest mountain game, and that is a beautiful chamois

Congratulations and thanks for sharing!
