LorenzoPictures of my new farm
Remember the post I've done with this title near two years ago??
In that post I told you about a piece of land I've bought with the idea of transform it in some kind of hunting lodge and also I posted some pictures of the farm in those days (it not even has a house by then).
I just want to show you what we (some friends and I) have done with a lot of effort during these last two years.
Take a look at
www.rincondelosmatreros.comI don't know how much success I will have but it is nice to see things "happen".

And no, I'm not trying to sell something as it it just finished and it will take some years to be able to receive an interest number of hunters, I'm just wanting to share something that makes me feel proud

LorenzoThanks,
Uruguay doesn't exist as a big game hunting destination in the international hunting comunity so it's difficult to start something like this.
Here is not like Argentina, where big game animals appear behind any tree or stone !! Not to mention their great landscapes...but with time and effort we can be a nice option to people looking for new hunting grounds

Real-estate is a giant balloon, what goes up must come down

Frans DiepstratenLorenzo,
a beautiful site! Nice rolling hills, plenty of glassing opportunities, some thick stuff for game to retreat in. Must a dream to spend a day on a horse there!
What kind of game is native to the area? Do you have fish in those creeks? Do you intend to bring game in?

LorenzoFrans,
As you correctly mentioned, horse riding there is great.
There are some fish there but as the fanatic fisherman I am, I must tell you that I will not go fishing there having better areas around!!

In the area there are south american native animals like wild cats, foxes, hares, rheas, capybaras and brocket deer, also some exotics which have been introduced in South America many years ago like axis, fallow, wild boars, feral goats, mufflons, red stags, etc.
