scruffyHas anyone hunted Kamchatka lately ???
Yo, I now have the time to hunt in the spring and the fall ... and have always wanted to whack a brown bear. It looks like Alaska might be a bit too pricy (?) and besides, I have never been to Kamchatka ....Have any AR folks been there recently and have any opinions on this ??? (I don't wish to drop 10 or 15 grand on a photo safari - if you know what I mean....I would like a reasonable chance at a mature bear,

)

D99Russia changes all the time, I would use one of the following booking agents as they will have the most up to date information.
www.safar1.com First choice, as they have been doing hunts in Asia since the 1960s.
www.huntingconsortium.com (though he's been in trouble with the USFWS recently).
www.diana.dk they are the big Danish agency.

scruffyHmmmmmmmmmm ???? A brown bear outfitter in both Alaska and Russia (now retired) told me some years ago that there are not big bears in Kamchatka ... different subspecies or whatever ???? He was quite adamant about that.

BOWHUNRscruffy,
I hunted Kamchatka in May of 2006 with
www.profi-hunt.com. If you would like more information p.m. me your email address and I will send you a copy of my hunt journal. BTW, my bear squared 9' 4" with a 26 15/16 skull and there were two larger bears killed out of my camp.
