End of 2 marauders
These 2 pumas were killing many sheep and calves at my usual stomping grounds. After many days of unsuccessful tracking and nights of waiting the landowner shot one (the biggest in the pictures) and a farm hand the other....
These were fair hunts, even if not intended as sporting at the beginning.

Nice cats, do you know which method finally worked?
Were these 2 cats working together?

Well, I could be wrong but it sure looks like the same lion to me. Have you got a photo of both together?

Ann: as far as I know there were a pair of cattle killing pumas. I don´t have any reason for doubting the landowner´s word, who kindly gave me these pictures. Moreover, for my money the bloodied one is noticeably smaller. The big one was taxidermised (neck and head only) and I have a shot which you may see here. Comparing with the nearby red stag head, you may find that this was a big trophy.

Boghossian: one of them was shot at noon over a fresh killed sheep and very near to the main premises. I don´t know the circumstances of the other´s demise but I assume it was shot at night from a blind. The first one is a very unusual kind of animal behaviour.

Thanks for shearing interesting story and photos! It sure reminds me of books by Jim Corbett.. Smiler Another continent, but many similarities.. Well the marauders did only take domestic animals in this situation, not people...

Two pictures of the same lion, shot from different angles. Both are shot low in the belly, same knot on the feet, Moon or sun in the back ground!
( look at the power line)

Ann and Robert Johnson: I apologize. Looking in depth at both pictures it seems that you are right and I´d uploaded the same lion twice. Nevertheless, there were two of them and the shown in the wall must be the true second killer. I can´t find a picture of that one over a pickup, which clarifies the subject once and for all.
