Mad DogRio turkey/hogs/javalinas in Texas
This hunt won't happen until NEXT spring, but here are my questions. I have a buddy that is a turkey hunting nut, and next year he wants to get a Rio. I on the other hand, would like to go to Texas, and hunt hogs and javalinas, spot and stalk, while he is off hunting turkeys. I know timing is critical, because turkey season there doesn't open until the end of March, and I HAVE to be back in Indiana by no later than the 10th of April, because it is planting season, and I work in agriculture. So my biggest question is where in south texas could we put this hunt together? Since we will be driving from In., I want the hunt to last more than 2 days, I'm thinking a 4 day hunt. Any suggestions on who to contact? I have looked at several places on the net, but they are like "show up noon fri., go home noon sun." and that is just too darn short of a trip for all the driving. Any suggestions?

Greg RI can do something with one of my 2 1/12 day packages and upgrade it to 3 or 4 days. I hunt on 15,000 low fence acres near Eagle Pass. Lots of pigs and predators, more Javelina than I have seen anywhere else, and decent Turkey numbers. We'll get the Gobblers, but the hunting is better for everything else. Drop me a line at ggrod@msn.com if you're interested.

AtkinsonMD,
See above thread on the Venado Grande ranch at Del Rio, Texas...I can accomodate you on that ranch and it is not expensive...
