I have 3 recievers and a 223,308,300WIN Mag,375 H&H, another 375 H&H "tracker", and 28ga bbls. I have never has a single problem.
The bbls go on and off with no loss of zero. The scope mounts go on and off with no loss of zero.
Everyone who has shot my Blaser has liked it very much. Several of my friends have bought them.
Just this week one of my friends who has bought a couple of Blasers said to me "How come I didn't get one sooner?"

I replied "You just didn't know."

I have shot the blaser and like it. But I will not own or shoot one again untill this whole recall thing is settled and I am satisfied that they are as safe to shoot as a conventional turnbolt. Blaser is going to have to build in backup safety provisions for radial lockup failure before I am satisfied.

Actually, that is probably not 100% correct (which this might not be either

). I believe the company SIG (Schweizer Industrie Gesellschaft) got out of the firearms business alltogether. I believe they now manufacture machines for packing material. So no real involvement of the company "SIG" in firearms manufacturing any more - rather sad, thinking of all the great products that company produced.

What somewhat eludes me, is what company now "owns" what, i.e. which is the company at the top of the heap, if any. I believe there were some German brothers (?), who, having made their money in something totally different than firearms, put up their cash and bought the company that had been created by the mergers of Blaser, Mauser and (at least) Sauer (this including the last remnants of the SIG firearms manufacturing). There may well be some other companies involved, such as Hï¿½mmerli, as well as Kettner of late. But it is kind of hard to get an overview of exactly what belongs together, or what the corporate structure actually looks like. Maybe there is a holding company acting as an umbrella somewhere??

What is certain, is that the new company has concentrated quite a few functions in Isny - used to be the home of Blaser. Did you notice the company address the Mauser website gives these days?? Let me just say, it is not Oberndorf any longer... Not sure what is manufactured where, though??

Speaking of mergers, I was surprised to find out, that the Swiss RuAG (used to be a part of the Swiss Army, was later privatized) now own the ammo manufacturing operations of Norma, RWS, Hirtenberger and what RuAG used to make. Speak of concentration! In Western Europe, there is not a bunch left outside that chunk. Can this be good for the customers??
