Australia - 2006 Gallery
For anyone who is interested - I have just made a small gallery of some of the better free-range trophies we took through 2006, in various locations plus a couple of other piccies.

I have already posted this in the Australia/New Zealand section, where there is already a thread. Sorry to double up but both places seemed appropriate.

Cheers all

Are you going to be at Dallas or SCI in Reno this coming January? Can't afford the fancy stuff, but am addicted to feral hogs. One of my favorite hunts in Australia was at Strathmore Station in Queensland. wave

Hi Bill

Yes Strathmore was meant to be very good - although I never made it there myself. It has changed ownership and there are no more hunts there. Happens a lot eh!

Yes I will be at Dallas SC (not sure what the booth number is but its near the entrance hall. At Reno I'll be at #1726 in the centre hall. Be good to meet you.

I'll email you a bit of stuff in the meantime. I am just waiting on a disc of boar photos from this year and I will post them up when I have them.

Anhow cheers for now

That looks great!
Those axis (?) deer are larger than I thought

Whats the success like for Baramundi on fly? - quite a challenge?

Cheers

Hi mate

Thats a saratoga in the photos - it is a very good fish to catch on fly.

The barramundi is a challenge but certainly a 'doable' thing, especially saltwater barramundi. Like with hunting it's mostly being in the right place at the right time and a good local guide helps as well! In some more remote places it is possile to catch multiple barra on fly in one day

Cheers
Matt
