I have just returned from my 12th Saskatchewan whitetail hunt and was fortunate to have taken my third best deer to date. A 10 point 156 B&C gross animal. What amazed me was the number of different bucks, 55 in 5 days and the incredible docile nature of these animals. I had never before witnessed such behavior. It was as though they were ignoring your presence! If you coughed, or stood up to pee, or walked across the meadow they were in... didn't matter they ignored your presence. I felt guilty (for just a moment) after taking my buck. The sadness lasted quite a while longer, as I always morn the beast. I am curious if any other near do wells such as myself had had any similiar experiences with the deer's behavior? Good luck and good hunting.

308, congratulations. You saw alot of deer. It almost seems that you were hunting Texas. The deer in Texas are calm, but not as much as where you hunted. Which outfitter did you use? I would like to give him a try if I ever do Saskatchewan. I have been wanting to do a bear hunt there. I heard the numbers are good.

Bow777, the outfitter was M&M out of Chitek Lake and they are in the process of selling to the local Indian reserve. Deal to be consumated this week. There will be lots of new and interesting ways to hunt, but the end of an era has just occurred at this locale.
