AntlersNice kitties - well done! Man, the look on the third guy's face cracked me up!

Neophyte question - I assume the only diff b/w a lynx hunt and a lion hunt is, you put the dogs out on a lynx track - correct?

That about sums it up. Lynx are tougher to catch, you won't see to many cougar dogs catch many lynx.

Thats what a lot of outfitters will tell you, you need better dogs then your average lion dogs to catch a lynx. 28 caught in 26 days last year.

chilcotin hillbillypeople need to realize i spend alot of time hunting my dogs. 70 to 100 trees a year seems to keep them sharp. The dogs are only as good as the time spent hunting.

Very true from what I seen with dogs the more one hunts them the better they get.
A lot of hounds guys only want to put their dogs down on a great track, in a great location, at a great time unless every thing is perfect they don't run them.
The more you run them the better they get.

I think you mean what i call free casting. I can rig bears and cats from the dog box or free cast them into an area as i walk with them. Or find the track for them and turn them loose.
Which ever i need to do to get the job done.
