Jerry HuffakerI don't know where they were taken, someone posted them on Taxidermy.net. It was mentioned that they might be eating lichen that has grown on the rocks.

If they are shopped;they did a hell of a job on the shadow work;
Must have put this in the album to complete the sell;
Guess with the internet/computers you never really know?
Maybe the guy with these on his album never climbed any of the peaks on there either?

SaeedI have seen amazing photoshop work being posted on the Net.
I am almost certain these photos are photoshoped.
Even National Geographic contest photos have been photoshoped. And they only found out about them after the winner has been announced!?
09 August 2010, 03:21
meteWe have to send Mario there immediately to determine if it's Photoshopped ! If Mario can walk the wall it's OK !

larrysFrom the data I could pull off the photos (not much) and the shadow layout of ALL of the structures in All of the pictures, these appear to be genuine. Great photos.

Michael RobinsonSaeed, you had me wondering . . .
A healthy dose of skepticism is a good thing these days, when photos cannot be trusted.
But those videos seal the deal.
My Italian may be doubtful, but it seems that the ibex are licking mineral salts off of the face of the dam.
What amazing animals they are!

Equinsu OchaI guess Adobe has really taken the art of faking to a new level with those pics and now video.

09 August 2010, 12:20
SaeedGentlemen,
I could, of course, be wrong.
Bt, having been interested in both photos and video for a long time, and having been duped by some fantastic photoshop work, I tend to be may be more skeptical than most.

wyoskeWOW! how cool is that!

elk88101After hunting these buggers in New Mexico in Deming. I have seen them on shear rock walls with only 3/4" of rock ledge in some places.
I could not believe they walked on them. I would say without a doubt they could be on that DAM surface.

larryshoresI have hunted 5 different species of ibex. I absolutely believe they can do it.
15 August 2010, 03:27
KUDUBULLIm just curious, since i have never hunted for ibex before. Why would they climb those rocks? there doesnt seem to be any food or are they going after water leaking from the dam...have to admit those are pretty cool photos.

MarioSaeed and friends,
returned from the holidays, I have spoken with my friend living in Piemonte and he said that is normal for the ibex do that. He saw them many times even in the Malciaussia dam. So the photo must be authentic.
