bobgrowAs you have probably observed, offering up a lion hunt of pen reared cats is a tough sell on this forum.
However, in a positive intent I have a few questions....
Size of the enclosure that the hunt will take place?
How many days prior is the lion released into the enclosure?
You noted bait fees...is that the method of hunting, or is it combined with tracking?
Are the lions drugged prior to release?
Thanks

I think these are all appropriate questions IF ASKED IN EARNEST.
IF I where to do a hunt of this type I would have the same questions.
If it is a fishing trip to blast this guy, shame on ya'.

bobgrowJTEX....did you miss the words "positive intent"?
Yep, they're fair questions, since there is a large variation in SA lion hunt offerings.

the size of the farm are a 1500 ha
All hunting will be done on foot and the bait fee are only there if we need to bait,
No lions will be hunted with Inyala if they are drugged do not believe in canned hunts. If you want a canned hunt you must go and hunt with someone ells. You will need at least 5-7 days and yes the hunt is combined with tracking

SkinAfrika ConsultingCome on guys the hunters that did these hunts tell your stories.Waiting in a blind watching bait and then kill is that excitement.or would you rather track a male lion for a few days and can expect this killer to come for you at any time. You always need 2 PH's to go with you for protection!!!Drugged lions really if you know about that please inform the authorities immediately we dont need that.please don't criticize something you never tried.I can get you free roaming lions guaranteed the blind baiting way 3-5 days $35000 or tracking the Kalahari much more excitement $22 000 and a very very nice specimen.

If the above is true, we must have been doing something drastically wrong all these years.
I hunt lion every year on 21 day safaris, and have had more years without seeing a lion than actually see one, let alone shoot one.
If you say you can actually GUARANTEE a lion, then I am certain it is NOT free roaming.
Don't get me wrong, I see absolutely nothing wrong with hunters wanting to shoot a farm bred lion.
But it is not for me.

what you will find here is that the term "free roaming or ranging" is an abused term and isn't used anymore. To avoid problems you need to call it either "low fence" or "high fence". When you say free roaming it makes people think your trying to deceive them.

SkinAfrika ConsultingThanks I take note. The hunting grounds are all Reserves sizes 30 000 hectares with low broken fences with Kruger National park.some of the fences are high fenced like the Kruger Park to stop animals roaming to public roads.

martin pietersTheo, I have to add that it is not all about killing the lion at the end of the day ( although everyone wants a chance if they are paying good money ), it is about pitting yourself against the top predator in his natural environment, about the challenge, the heartache, the frustration and the elation if successful.
Don't get me wrong, some are fine with the 1 - 5 day ' kalahari' experience, others prefer the 21 day full lion hunt ( bait, blind ), cat and mouse method, the camaraderie shared with a PH and the ideas shared that eventually, hopefully lead to a shot and a big mature lion.
