Aaron Neilson2015 Lion - Special Offer!
Outfitter: CVS - Hans Vermaak
Location: Khamab Kalahari Reserve
2015 LION HUNT - NOW AVAILABLE!!
I've personally hunted with this outfitter, like I have with most all hunts/outfitters I represent - this one is second to none!
Area is 240,000 acres, one continuous block, officially the largest consecutive hunting area in SA. North/south boundary in a direct line is 43 miles. The reserve is situated on the Botswana boarder, near the town of Bray. It extends south from the border. Nearest airport is Kimberley, from there it is a 5.5 hour drive due North.
Area is home to lions, leopard, cheetah, black and white rhino, buffalo, African wild dogs, hyena and a variety of antelope such as kudu, gemsbok, eland, springbok, wildebeest, hartebeest, duiker, steenbok, warthog, waterbuck, impala, giraffe, zebra etc.
This is only the 5th year that this area has ever been hunted, therefore awesome trophy quality all round. New world record springbok taken in 2014, 3 + top 10s of same species in previous years. Awesome gemsbok, generally bulls 40+, awesome buff, outfitter has never taken a bull under 40 inches, great kudu bulls, best 57, wounded and lost a 60” last year. All game is excellent quality. Conservative quotas, for example, the gemsbok population is estimated to be around 6500 head, we only take 15 per year.
Only 1 camp/lodge in reserve, clients have exclusive use of lodge and entire 240 000 acre area, unless otherwise agreed.
This year these are the first lion permits ever, I have 2 on quota. 1 is sold already.
Lions have never been cage reared, or captive, these lions were re-introduced to the area 8 years ago. These are definitely NOT canned or captive bred lions, they live/die by the sword in this reserve.
Hunt is walk and stalk only (tracking) an incredible quality lion can be expected. See pics below, of lions photographed recently. Reserve management would like to target 2 particular lions which they say are the oldest on the reserve, and the biggest manned. This too fits perfectly with good lion hunting/conservation goals.
This reserve is remote, its pristine, no highways, tarred roads, towns, nothing nearby, no people, just a handful of employees in the reserve, no other camps or lodges. Just the client and the safari team & 240,000 acres.
SAFARI COST IS AS FOLLOWS:
1 hunter / 13 nights - 12 hunt days, $85,000.00 all - inclusive.
Includes daily rate, license and trophy fee. If lion hunt fails, client is refunded $20,000.00 - highly unlikely however, or client can extend at $1500 per day + tax 14%.
Excludes observers at $300p/d + tax, additional trophy fees for additional species.
Dates: Preferably first 2 weeks in September 2015, easier tracking, but these are open dates.
Contact me asap at globalhunts@aol.com if you are interested in this hunt. If you want a big lion, this is a pretty good option.
Thank you,

bcapI could never afford a lion hunt like that but sure would like to hear more about the plains game. I love hunting springbuck and oryx so this place sounds great for that.
Do you have any pictures of the springbuck taken last year. Thanks

Fujo - One should never say bad things about others, that they are not willing to say to their face! In this case, I would love to see you try that one.

These two boys may not find the humor in that.
