I guess any hunter would pass gas and fumes !!!!! - if they were sold a hunt and were not made aware of what all the costs are

I suppose it could be applicable to a Game Farm were animals are bred and reared in pens or enclosures like Lion and in some cases, mouth-watering 50" Buffalo.

Why is it that a female Impala trophy fee is $130 but an Impala shot for bait is $150?

Does one really need to pre-bait on a 14 day hunt which is the normal time frame for a Leopard hunt considering there is a whole bunch of game species from which to choose for bait and if the area has a good Leopard presence, should have one feeding within 72 hours?

Pre-baiting is also normally requested by a client who is limited for time, barely interested in anything else other than his Leopard and wants to be in the blind asap; "wham, bam, thank you ma'am".

Cats are more to luck than efforts!


I have been hunting both for so many years.

Some years they drive you nuts, waste so much time sitting in blinds, and get nothing.

Other times you see them while driving, or walking, and a few minutes later he is in the truck!

Guys,

Cats on those areas that used to be farms and are now living nearby villages in Zim are noted for be very wary. They were pusued as varmints in these cattle areas for many years and have adapted to staying alive by being very cautious. I would not encourage anybody to skip pre baiting. More time is always good. These cats seem to be a different breed than the unsphisticated cats you'll find along the Luangwa in Zambia or the Selous in Tanzania.

Gary is offering a great price on this hunt and knows the area well. I'd do whatever he thought was wise.
