MARK H. YOUNGOne leopard left with Muchinga Adventures for '18 in Zambia
The Du Plooys/Muchinga Adventures have one leopard available for '18 in the Chanjusi GMA on the Luangwa river. As many know the Luangwa valley is arguably the the best leopard hunting in Africa. You should expect to have multiple cats feeding and be able to pick the largest one to sit for. It would be very unusual for the leopard to not be in salt in the first week. The only failure my clients have had there was on a leopard the hunter wounded superficially and lost.
Buffalo occur in big numbers there and a big one is definitely possible. The river is loaded with hippo and you'll take one the first morning for bait. Crocs are also abundant. When I was there we put out a lion carcass as bait and in about an hour we had 34 crocs on the bait.
Dates available are last two weeks of May, July and Aug.
Price:
1x1 14 days $14,500
Concession fee $8,000
Conservation fee, gun permit and hunting licenses $1,450
Dip/pack $1,500

When you consider that some of the best areas for leopard in Zimbabwe are charging $1,500-$1,750 a day and their buffalo, hippo and croc trophy fees are higher this offer for practically a slam dunk leopard sounds pretty good.
