Feel free tom view our hunt reports on AR.
Please Contact us:
Am I reading this correctly? Three buffalo for $14,500? Package includes trophy fees? Any extra like government fees? How much are charters costing to fly in to IH1?
I thought Masailand Hunting Company held the rights on IH1 with Kantana Hunting outfitting the hunts. Is Johan Du Preez with Kantana?
BTW I did a search for Inyala Safaris and it could find no reports on AR. Maybe you could post the link.
26 May 2013, 01:44
Inyala SafarisMike yes you did read correctly. Package do includes the trophy fees. Yes I'm hunting with Kantana
Charter $ 6500
Goverment fee $ 3500
You are more than welcome to give me your name, surname and email and I will send you all the info you will need.

MikeBurkeWhat other costs are not listed?
$6500 for a charter? Is out of Dar? Last time I went to LU5 a Caravan was around $3000.00 RT.
My email is
mburke@cowislandoutdoors.com
However all cost should be listed on the offer on the forum.

Does one get 9 on a 21 day license?

If you purchase 3 x 21 days you do

26 May 2013, 22:53
surestrikeGuys I checked into it. There is no huge gratuitous mark up on the charter. This not a "hidden" profit maker for the outfitter. South African outfitters are using a new aircraft that dramatically cuts the round trip time from Dar to the Selous thus the increased charter prices.
Nothing to see here. Move on.

Aaron NeilsonFujo & Saeed - Come on guys, both of you are fully aware of the fact that all you need is a 21-day license to hunt 3 buff. Doesn't mean you MUST do a 21-day hunt!
If you know something the rest of us don't, please say so?

Sure I do AAron.
But, the offered price that INCLUDES trophy fee for 3 buffalo, plus the extra cost of a 21 day license, seem to make this offer rather cheap.
$14,500 for all this?
That would make the daily rate about $400 per day, if we take the costs mentioned above into consideration.
May be Inyala Safaris can give us the breakdown of the total cost of $14,500?

Why don't you give us a breakdown of the costs of a 21 day license in order to hunt 7 days instead? ..... this should be interesting.
May I remind you that when quoting a package the costs are inclusive of all govt. fees/royalties, i.e. hunting permit, concession, dipping, firearms import, etc.
Not included once landed: Hotel, Charter and Gratuities.
Fire away!

The price breakdown are as follows
1x buffalo = $ 2800 x3= $ 8400
daily rate $ 800 x 7days = $ 5600
road transfur $ 500 ( 800km drive)
Total $ 14500
Most of the people want to take the charter so then we only deduct the $ 500
exclu.
Visa $ 50
Rifle permit $ 200
Customs per round $ 1
Charter $6500
dip and pack $ 1000
government fee $ 3500
Hotel charge $ 500 - $1000 ( before the safari if needed)
Gratuities

I am afraid your offer does not meet our rules here.
Read them at the top of this forum.
How can you offer a hunt without taking into consideration the required government fees?
How about rifle and ammo fees?
A hunt involves a lot more than just daily fees and trophy fees.
Your offered hunt MUST include everything that is required for an individual to go on that hunt.
We have set up the rules just to avoid this sort of misunderstanding.
So your hunt is already at $18,000 at bare minimum.

Wendell ReichNot to mention, you can't shoot 3 Buffalo on a 10-day license.
Anyone can tell me the prices of the different license in Tanzania please?

The cost of any of the licences isn't a great deal and FWIW, (IIRC) the conservation fees etc are higher but I'd be interested to know how many days licence this hunt has and if it's 1x1 or 2x1 and if 2x1 how many licences?
Any offer for a hunt MUST include ALL the relevant expenses that are required for the hunt.
Trophy fees, government fees - all of them that are required, daily fees, required transport to the camp etc. must be included.

Assuming there has been no change in the price schedule:
10 day GHP @ $950
10+day GHP @ $1,250
Conservation Fee @ $150/Day
P.S. If I am not wrong the 7 day license has been scrubbed - yes, you can hunt for 5 days but will be charged taxes for 10, 16 or 21 depending on the game you want to hunt and under which category it falls.

Fujo - I know you're not insinuating that I don't know the cost of a 21-Day License, right?
My point was, and you know this already is - we both know that as long as the hunter buys/possesses a 21-day license, pay appropriate fees, that shooting 3 buffalo on a 7-day hunt, is perfectly legal.
As Saeed has now indicated, ALL the costs should have been disclosed if it were to be a "package" deal, or any deal on AR for that matter.
But how the man has chosen to breakdown the costs of his hunt, your guess is as good as mine, and frankly not my biz.

Aaron:
The information given by the OP was incorrect and misleading - simple as that.
There is no 7 day license (anymore) to the best of my knowledge but I stand to be corrected if I am wrong and should it still be available, it sure as hell isn't going to show 3 buffalo!
Yes, I am aware that to have 3 buff on license one must take a 21 day permit at $1,250 already shown and I am also aware of the Conservation fees @150/day that go with a 21 day license.
So the "package" quoted at $14,000 (no one in his right mind would drive the distance so the $500 is deducted) + $1,250 + $3,150 = $18,400 is not entirely correct.
We are to assume that the Warthog, Impala and Hartbeest are off the package and to be considered as extras as should the Zebra and Wildebeest that fell by the wayside (maybe none on quota for IH1)?

You still have not given us the breakdown of this.
Unless you do, and follow our rules of posting all the relevant details of the hunt, please do not offer any more hunts here.
Offering hunts for a specific price and then asking the clients to pay extra to do that hunt is not right at all.

mmassey338Uh-oh.
Seems the AR members know more about the rules and prices in Tanzania than some safari outfits....
Especially this one. Anyone in the industry would be extremely stand-offish on any triple buff hunt for $14,500, and even more so in Tanzania.

Now you know why we have made our posting hunts rules here as simple as possible.
We don't charge anything for this privilege to advertise.
We want the hunting community to benefit. Both clients and those offering hunts.
The only rule is to make it as simple as possible, by including ALL the relevant details.
So nothing is left out.
