This concession is top class and Russel is a great outfitter.

Carel Maartens built this area up and has got an impressive record on big trophies.
Highly reccomended.

Are buffalo numbers coming up in the area?

So $25,300 for an elephant and 10 days with road transfer.....sounds like a good deal! (by todays standards)

Interesting that you come out of Lusaka. If flying Emerates from the States it would be a fairly inexpensive and easy flight via Dubai.

Is this Russell posting?

How much does the hunting license cost? Rifle license?

What would you say is the average age of the ele shot? Tusk weight?

Assume this is a traditional tracking hunt?

Again, nice offer, especially with the croc add-on.

Hilton, thanks for the kind words. This area has been improving every year since Carel came here and we will keep it that way. Buff numbers are coming up.
Bill, Lusaka is closest to us and at this stage still easiest logistically.
With Zambian and Moz rifle permits it is around $ 500 for rifle import. Hunting license is $ 300.
Depending on where we hunt and where the elephant are it may be tracking or it may be visual. If they are on the island in the river then it is visual by way of seeing the egret birds and then getting in close. Very exciting.
If they are in the main area on the north bank then it is tracking. These are typical Zambezi valley bulls and one can expect 30 - 40lb.

Not any more Aaron..the BA flight to Zambia was discontinued two years ago. It's either you fly via Johannesburg or use Emirates via Dubai.
