GunsCoreGreat offer and a great idea! I am interested in knowing if "Complete Honesty and Transparency" in marketing really works or not. Good luck selling these hunts.

EddieWalkerSounds like a great plan. I already have all the animals listed, but probably wouldn't book the hunt if I didn't just because I'm not comfortable putting 50% down. On my last safari, I paid $1,000 down and spent over $20 grand

You raise a good point.
However, considering that airfare alone already accounts for almost $2,000 of the costs and has to be paid in full when the airline ticket is purchased, it implies that the rest of the deposit only roughly covers the daily rates for this hunt.
If I were to only take a $1,000 deposit for this package hunt it means I'd have to (1) finance the buyer with $1,000 on his/her non-refundable / non-changeable airline ticket... This in turn means that, if the client were to cancel the hunt, I won't only be out of $1,000 that I have financed the buyer with for an airline ticket that is worthless to me, but would (2) also have booked time out in my schedule for a hunt that never takes place.
Somehow I don't think that this would be a good business model...
Thank you to those who have displayed interest in this hunt via email and PM. I have responded to all and am looking forward to working with you on this.
