MARK H. YOUNGKODIAK ISLAND DEER, GOAT, FOX and WINGSHOOTING
Scott Mileur/Mileur's Guide Service is one of the long time operators on Kodiak and he has the old Pinnell and Talifson bear area on the south end of the island. Scott has taken 30 B&C bears over the last 20 years but he also takes some great goats and has loads of Sitka deer. The south end gets far less snow so the deer do very well there.
He has two discounted rut openings for deer left for fall 2017 with a goat add-on possible. These hunts are 7 full days Nov 3-9 or Nov 11-17.
Pricing:
1x1 7 days $6,500
2X1 7 DAYS $4,950
3X1 7 DAYS $3,950
4X2 7 DAYS $3,850
EACH HUNTER IS ALLOWED TWO DEER, FOXES and A GOAT CAN BE TAKEN WITH A $6,500 TROPHY FEE This is a great hunt and nice opportunity for a group of friends to do an Alaska hunt on a budget.
Bring a shotgun on this one as ducks and ptarmigan can be hunted time permitting.
Extra:
License $160
Goat tag $600
Deer tag $300
Charter Kodiak City to camp about $1,500 RT

dogcatMark,
Physical requirements? Looks benign for a goat hunt but I do not know anything about Kodiak Island.

MARK H. YOUNGRoss,
Hunting on Kodiak is not a bitch compared to coastal B.C. In fact I just spoke to Scott yesterday and he said if you carefully pick your path up through the brush it's not really too tough at all.
