Guav JLATE CANCELLATION ELEPHANT HUNT OPPORTUNITY – KAZUMA FOREST – ZIMBABWE
Greetings All
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have unfortunately had a hunter cancel his trophy Elephant bull hunt for August / September this year in Kazuma Forest. This has however presented an incredible opportunity to hunt a big bull in a prime area at peak season.
Located in western Zimbabwe on thick Kalahari sands with predominantly teak and false mopane forests, this area is well known for the top quality Elephant bulls that it produces annually.
Being a very dry year, the bulls are moving through in good numbers already and all shooting is done on foot, picking up tracks and then tracking and stalking in the thick brush.
The hunting area is accessed through Victoria Falls International Airport and camp is a 1 hr 30 minute drive by Land Cruiser.
Due to the hunt being cancelled so close to the starting date of the safari the only dates available are from now until the 14th September 2023.

gunslinger55Any info on elephant imports in USA?
01 September 2023, 23:15
Guav JWe have completed the USFW enhancement reports required for US hunters wishing to import trophies from Zimbabwe. The process is time consuming and requires much patience. It can take anywhere from 18 to 24 months and we have had hunters successfully import their trophies.

txsouthpawDid this hunt sell, and if not, have the availability dates changed?
05 September 2023, 16:22
Guav JGreetings. This hunt has not beensold. The alternative dates are 5-31 December 2023. This is our rain season, but Guav has successfully hunted during this season before at Kazuma.

Capt.PurvisPrices are great. My concern with new date would be the summer heat, humidity and side effects of Malarone.

Is Guav the concession holder/operator or as a freelance PH bought this quota?

MLindsayGuav has Matetsi 2 which borders Kazuma. The way I understand the forestry area, Kazuma is not put out for bid
