Karl SAnother elephant offer (elephant hunt at PG rates!)
The free hunt for an elephant bull has been taken, but all the enquires convinced me that a reasonable deal on the dayfees might be what hunters are looking at. So I decided to offer the following:
I do have 2 elephant left on optional quota, one in Khaudum North Complex, and another in the Caprivi.
Seeing that there was such a lot of interest in low dayfee elephant hunts, I am willing to offer the following to interested elephant hunters:
12 day minimum hunt for elephant at plains game rate (US$ 450)
elephant bull @ US$ 20 000
If you do not shoot, wound, or turn down a shootable bull (say around 40lbs) during the hunt (inside the dates set out below), I will give you 12 days credit for another crack at an elephant, which you can even resell.
Above rates includes drive in from Windhoek (best for Khaudum North) or Vic Falls (best for Caprivi).
Best (and available) time for the areas as mentioned are:
Khaudum North: 14 March to 25 April.
Caprivi: 14 March to 25 April, 31 May to 14 June, 23 July to end November.

Mike SmithAverage ivory mass in that area?

Karl SMike, in Khaudum 55 plus. In Caprivi expect 40-60, average around 45 lbs. In other words, you would be unlucky to not see and shoot at least 40lbs, or lucky to shoot bigger than 60 in Caprivi.
