Burkina Faso - Western Roan and Western Savannah Buffalo

reddy375Burkina Faso - Western Roan and Western Savannah Buffalo
For the 2015-2016 season we have 4 hunts available for two of West Africa's prime species - Western Roan and Western Savannah buffalo. The reason for a 2 animal hunt is to keep the price very affordable. There are only 4 hunts at this price and when they are sold that's it. If you wish to add other species the price of the hunt is different.
1x1 - 7 full hunting days €8,000 euros
2x1 - 10 full hunting days €7.500 euros per person
Trophy fees
-----------
Buffalo €480
Roan €490
gun permit 120 euros
transfer to camp and anti poaching fee 500 euros per person
hunting license 450 euros
There is much talk of an increase in t/fees with the new government to be elected in October. While I cannot guarantee it, it is very hopeful that they will keep the t/fees the same for one last season, this is another very good reason to hunt BF this coming season!
Season runs from Dec 1st to 15th April.
In the last 3 seasons we have been 100% on both these species. Several people on AR have hunted with me in Burkina and have all been successful in taking these two species. We have taken more American hunters to Burkina than all the other companies combined.
Taking guns to Burkina is very straightforward. They will also have new rifles to rent this coming season. Visas can be got in 3-4 days from the embassy in DC. Getting there is simple, from the States fly to Paris or Belgium and take a direct connecting flight to Ouagadougou, where you will be met on arrival. You will spend the night in Ouaga and drive to camp the following day - it is a 9 hour drive with a stop for lunch. You will have a local English speaking translator with you from the time you arrive to the time you depart.
Some photos from this past season:
The savannah buffalo is a neat animal and a must shoot buffalo for all of you who have shot multiple cape buffs. The hunt is identical in every respect to that of a cape buff hunt and trust me while they are smaller in size they are no less tough than the cape buffalo in terms of tenacity. I have seen several instances of them taking perfect shoulder shots and requiring more to put them on the ground. As far as Roan goes there is no better place in Africa to hunt the magnificent roan both in terms of numbers as well as in terms of price! Compare t/fees under $600 to $6,000- $12,000 in other countries!

reddy375Only two of these hunts left folks. This is a great opportunity to shoot two prime species in Africa at 1950s trophy fee prices!!! When these prices are gone they are gone forever. Everywhere we turn there seems to be another stumbling block. Cant take your guns, airlines won't bring your trophies home, increasing gun fees, greedy African governments, increasing safari prices.
Do it while you can.
Thanks,
Arjun Reddy

reddy375Looking good Jon, that's the quickest buffalo hunt I have ever been on.
I think a lot of it had to do with your special custom buffalo stalking shoes. Photo below:
For those who make fun of Jons Blaser, it is a deadly firestick and here is the proof:

FYI, the political situation in BF has calmed down and everything is back to normal.
Preparation of the camp and the hunting area has started.
There is every likely hood that the t/fees will increase in 2016-2017 season, so those who can, take advantage of it now. We have taken more American hunters to BF than any other outfitter.
Thanks for looking.
