Folks,

Mokore Safaris hunts on Coutada 9 in Mozambique as well as in Zimbabwe. Additionally they are offering full safaris on C14 thru Nyati Safaris. In the past Mokore has taken some of their buffalo hunters to C14 but now they are going to offer 19 species in addition to the buffalo on C14.

The buffalo are in huge numbers on C14. My last client there in September remarked on seeing 700 buffalo in one day. This abundance allows up to 4 buffalo per hunter. Other than in Tanzania I don't know of any place that will allow you 4 buffalo. You'll note that the trophy fee for the 3rd and 4th buffalo are high but the other costs are quite reasonable. It's certainly far less expensive than a full 21 day license in Tanzania.

Other game like sable, nyala, eland, Liechtenstein's hartebeest, red duiker, blue duiker, big cats, crocodile and hippo are all there in good numbers as well as the more common species.

The scenery in and around C14 is expansive and beautiful with the terrain going from forest to palms trees and then out on the flood plain. Sadie said it was her favorite place in Africa and she has seen quite bit of Africa.

Don't let anybody tell you that you'll be wading around in water to hunt the buffalo. August onward you might get your shoes wet but you'll be hunting mostly on dry land.

C14 can be reached via charter from Beira, Mozambique directly into C14.

1X1 $1,250 PER DAY DANGEROUS GAME
1X1 $750 PER DAY PLAINS GAME ONLY
2X1 IS $50 PER DAY LESS FOR EITHER HUNT

Buffalo hunts can be booked on as little as 7 days but will only allow buffalo, bushbuck, reedbuck, warthog, bushpig and crocodile

Sable on a minimum of 10 days with all other plains game.

Cats or elephant minimum 14 day booking with all other game.

I did the hunt in Sept. and C14 is beyond words. The first day hunting we saw 700 buffalo and had the opportunity to shoot 9 duggy boys if we wanted to but I was enjoying the show to much. It's spot and stalk hunting and getting CLOSE, as in 20 to 25 yards

I think he is asking if this hunt is better value than the one you sold him. Not that it is relevant as buff hunts are dependent on location and an operators reputation

Correct. If I do the math, selling as individual safaris (daily rate + TF) the 4 buff could be sold for $55k

If one hunter takes all 4 buff on a 10 day hunt it works out to $45k.

Guys,

Actually the price to include all the extras and one gun permit for 1x1 10 days would be $49,200 if you shot all 4 buffalo. You can shoot 4 buffalo in Tanzania on a 21 day license but the price will be higher than this one even before you pull the trigger.
