Todd WilliamsArjun, can you add a trophy bull?
Also, what dates?
14 May 2021, 06:05
reddy375Hello Todd
It would cost $2,800 to add a trophy buffalo.
Dates are end May to October. Australia is unlikely to open its borders this year am being told so would be for 2022.
Thanks,
Arjun Reddy

Bud MeadowsARJUN: What differentiates a “Trophy” bull from a “Cull” bull? Is it strictly up to the PH’s discretion?
16 May 2021, 05:51
reddy375Yes the PH will decide which animal is a cull, but typically an old bull with worn down horns or a broken horn etc. Basically an animal that could not be a trophy. But a solid mature animal.

We used to call them management Bulls as Cull animal down grades them more .
Having said that some really are cull as the Bull could be Old/Mature but never was or will be a Big trophy Bull, this is more on the Coastal blocks as inland Bulls are a little smaller, bit like Brown Bear against Grizzly Bears !
Ok, so it would be $10.2K for one guy, plus $1500 trophy fees for each cull bulls up to two, and $500 each for cull cows. Right?
Nope, not the way I read it. I read it to say that the $10,200 price would be for a 1x1 hunt that includes two cull bulls and ten cull cows. If you want to shoot more than two cull bulls or more than ten cull cows, the additional cull bulls would be $1500/each and the additional cull cows would be $500/each. Seems like a good deal to me and hunting in Australia is a fun experience.
Ok, then it is a good deal and I should go.

gunslinger55Some serious big bore action. Does the outfitter assist in the rifle import? It’s a bit complicated but great fun with your own big bore

Todd WilliamsMy two sons and I are taking Arjun up on this one for next year. Looking forward to it.

reddy375That is correct. Thanks Mike
Or do a 2x1 and shoot 4 bulls and 20 cows between the two of you.

470EDDYWOW!! Great Opportunity!!
Darwin is a great place to visit too....
G'day, Mate!!
Sounds like a fun hunt. It's on my wish list if Australia opens up to foreign hunters. Covid sure has put a damper on international hunting.

reddy375God willing 2022 will be good to go!

22 June 2021, 17:15
reddy375There is no minimum caliber restriction in Australia. So you are all good with a 9.3.
