470EDDYHow Difficult?
I am 70 and in pretty good shape for that age, can walk 2 miles in a stretch, no problem. Did quite a bit of hiking to ruins in West Africa last year while cruising the coast, so I know the heat and that was no problem.
Cheers,

CaracalHello Eddy,
you don't have to be super fit, but it definitely requires the ability and willingness to walk quite a few hours every day.
The area has not many roads and it is just necessary to go into the bush and track a bit.
Most of the area is flat, but buffalo bulls do go into the mountains sometimes.

470EDDYSounds like a good challenge!
What about Cob opportunity? Does time of hunt make a difference on Cob....I know it does for the heat!
Cheers,

CaracalHello,
this concession has very few Cob. It is really pure luck to shot one.
If Cob is a priority for you, I could arrange a few days om another area that has good Cob population.

CaracalHello,
In Dec and January.
Late March and April can be very hot, but hunting is great!

Robin NationsWhat is "very hot" ? I huntrd the rainforest in Cameroon, very humid but not blistering hot. Zimbabwe in April was brutal. How would it compare?

bwanamrmBenin in late season will run from 95 to 115 degrees F during the middle of the day... plenty warm, even for a south Texas boy!
On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Thanks Russell. Yes it will be 95 to 115F.
Late April is the hottest time.
It is very dry what makes it bearable.
@Shoulderman
We need to change the area for hippo. That will be an additional 1200€. The trophy fee is 1525€.
