We have one hunt available for 2025, with Dr. Mark Sutherland of Umkanyakude Safaris in Kwazulu Natal, South Africa. I have hunted this property several times, as have at least two regular AR folks. This is PRIME Nyala riverine bush still hunting, and if you have wanted to hunt Buff on foot in the thick stuff this is for you. Double rifles work well at these ranges. Be prepared to walk and it's undulating country. Cool months are mid June through mid Aug.

Expect an exceptional Nyala; Buff 35-38, hard boss.

So 8 nights, 7 days hunting, from a basic bush camp overlooking the river, $11K all in. Additional days at $500, additional species per price list including Red Duiker, BWB, Kudu, Impala, Warthog (lots), Zebra. Pick up and return to Richard's Bay or Durban included. Observer $2000 upcharge.

Kwazulu Natal also has some exceptional bushbuck.

I hunted this area this year for red duiker and nyala. I passed on a few 30 inch nyala and took a red duiker. Saw sigh of the buff but never saw any but only hunted 3 days before moving to another area for nyala. Camp is basic but we enjoyed our stay there. I would say it will be a fun hunt area is thick but plenty of game around.

I just did a price check on Zim for a similar hunt (Buff/Kudu) in the BVC ... $23K.

Memorial day special: This hunt $10K for a veteran, ie mature cape buffalo bull, trophy nyala, two warthogs or warthog and impala (neither of which are enormous in this area but the hunting experience is top notch)
