JudgeGGreat guys to hunt with!
If you've never been to Zimbabwe, if you drive to Omay, it's a long, long trip, but a very good way to see lots of the country. Also, make sure to spend a night with the Steads at the Bulawayo Club.
JudgeG ... just counting time 'til I am again finding balm in Gilead chilled out somewhere in the Selous.

bwanamrmFor what it is worth, I have done this hunt and it turned out pretty well for me!

martin pietersIt is a days travel!
Beit Bridge, then 300 clicks to Bulawayo and 8 hours north to the valley from there.
This sounds like a great deal, can't swing it this year..... Most folks suggest more than 5 days for buffalo, are the 5 day hunts okay in this case?

martin pietersif you take the 5 day option, I suggest dates from October 1 onwards when the area is really dry.

Unless you are in a Range Rover...then better make it 10!
Great throw-back prices with a quality operation. Although doable in 5 stretch it to 7 days if you can, you won't be sorry.
For any who did not see it, here is my hunt report from May of this year:

john eMartin runs a great camp and his PH's are truely professional with nothing but hunting on the agenda. Lot's of fun with the staff around the camp fire & the quality/quantity of game is excellant.
BTW: Did it last year and doing it AGAIN THIS YEAR!!!!

What kind of temperatures can one expect in October? I'm wondering if could take the heat, so to speak.

MikeBurkeI hunted with Martin in October of last year. If I had to guess the temp was around 100-105 during the day. I slept comfortable after the second or third night and by the end of the hunt I was sleeping under the sheets.
Overall: hot but bearable, actually the weather in LA is worse than the Omay.
The hunting is worth a little discomfort, great place to hunt, great PHs
