A little more information. This is our first year advertising hunts. For the past 5 years we have exclusively taken veterans hunting with a non profit called KAMO Adventures. We are still doing our veteran hunts but we now have doubled our hunting area and are able to open to the public.

You will hunt with a well experienced guide that is very fimiliar with the land you will be hunting. If you draw me as a guide for example I have lived on this place since 1979! Food will be good and fattening! You'll eat beef or wild game off of this ranch and locally raised pork.

The law allows us to hunt until 1:00 pm. We are located about 20 min from Stockton Lake. It offers crappie, bass, and walleye fishing. We can work out something for a fishing trip combo if interested.

That's interesting you are only allowed to hunt until 1:00pm. Opportunities at Rio Grande birds here are typically better in the morning, but I've had great afternoon hunts.

For the first decade or so of turkey hunting in Ontario, hunting hours ended at noon each day. Eventually it was extended until 7:00pm. The idea was supposedly to give the birds a couple hours of undisturbed time to safely return to their roosts, rather than being ambushed at dusk and thus splitting up the flock for the night.

It gives the hens time to sit without disturbance. Seems silly but Missouri is tops for bringing back large numbers to the Turkey population. I agree though later is better hunting. My most memorable hunts are after the hens have gone to the nest and the toms are out looking.
