some hunters have asked me about lion hunting in Burkina Faso but the quota has been sold for 2012/2013 and there is a long list of hunters looking for 2013/2014.

A hunter booked for March 2013 has just cancelled his hunt in Burkina Faso. The hunt is scheduled for the last two weeks of March 2013 (16-29th March). Hunt can be moved to April 2013.


This is an exceptionell opportunity for those who want an affordable fair chase hunt for lion. This is one of the cheapest hunt for a wild lion available in africa.

The cancelled hunt is 2:1 and I would like to fill that spot with 2 other hunters. Quota available is 1Lion, 2Buffalo, 2 Roan + various Antelope species.


Lion hunt is 12days hunting for 8000Euros + Trophy fee of 4000Euros for the Lion. Buffalo+Roan can be added for trophy fee.


Buffalo, Roan hunt is 12days hunting for 8000Euros or 9days hunting (+3days off) for 6400Euros.

The outfitter in Burkina Faso is Mr. Toufic Hanna of Namoungou Safari. A well known outfitter who hunts PAMA NORD for a long time. The concession is wondeful place to hunt. 200000acres of unspoiled bush, lots of PG, buffalo, lion and elephant.

What is the routing to Burkina Faso from the states? I will start in Alaska.Can U.S. folks get the Bustard through USFWS? I would PM you with these question if i could figure it out. What is the weather like that time of year... March or April.

Hi,
you have to fly to Paris and from there with Airfrance to Ouagadougou.
It was possible to import Bustard to the US when Aziz did his hunt. With all the crazy stuff USFWS did recently, I'm not sure if they will make you problems.

March and April are dry and hot. The later the hotter. Nights are 70-75F, days in March 95-105, days in April 100-110.
This is the best time to hunt lion, but if you are not comfortable with the temperature I can try to find a spot in Feb.
