Jerry Jacque Alaska Master Guide #110 guided and outfitted in Alaska for 31 years until '09 when he gave up his business and did 3 tours as a civilian pilot for the military in Afganistan. During the '09-'11 season he did some guiding between tours of duty and in fact he guided our own D. Nelson and her husband Bob successfully for caribou and moose.

In '12 Jerry and his wife started refurbishing their Bristol Bay Sport Fishing and Adventures Lodge on Iliamna lake and took a few clients that season. For '13 the lodge is finished and ready for full operation.

Jerry is offering brown bear and moose hunts as well as world class sportfishing. He is hunting both unit 9 where the lodge sits on Iliamna and also in Unit 17 where TWO bears are allowed per hunter per season. Yes! There are that many bears there. I lived in Unit 17 until '04 and the bear population was incredible. Jerry is marketing these hunts at a very fair price and the second bear is down right cheap. Moose hunts are done in Unit 9 and Jerry is only taking 4 hunters per year on this one. Moose on the upper Peninsula can grow to huge proportions so you might shoot a very big one.

On these fall hunts you might consider a few extra days to sample the amazing silver salmon and rainbow fishing in the area.
