Dirk is very good on Leopard, I shot my last leopard with him a few years ago albeit on a different property. I personally hunted on this property year before last and aside from other plainsgame saw herds of Mountain Zebra and huge Springbok and Oryx. I shot a 17" springbok and a 41" Oryx in 2 days without even trying! The privately owned ranch is close to Sossusvlei in the south, an area which has huge red sand dunes and is a popular tourist attraction. The private property on which the hunt takes place is massive and there is lots of game and very undisturbed. Sitting on the porch I saw springbok, kudu, ostrich going about their business! I will be happy to send anyone photographs of the place if they are interested.
The accomodations are very comfortable and Dirk is a good host.

AndreCI have hunted with Dirk before on a different property that he managed. We had a fantastic time and Dirk and his wife were great hosts. Dirk is very experienced PH and I wouldn't hesitate hunting with him again.

reddy375To give an update, I spoke with Dirk the PH today in Namibia and this hunt is still available. There is zero hunting pressure on this property and they have spotted various leopards in the day time! Below are photos of one he got from a trail cam. As one can see this is a pretty good leopard
This area also has huge springbok and Oryx and tons of mountain zebra. The ranch has not been hunted commercially in 20 years so lots of game. The hunting area is very close to Sossusvlei which has the big red sand dunes and there are many nice tourist lodges also in the vicinity, so a good opportunity to take your family too.

GunsCoreSince this is a private property are you allowed to hunt at night like they do in Zim or is that strictly forbidden in Namibia?

reddy375I am not sure of the rules in Namibia and I can find out if anyone is serious but I know Dirk prefers to hunt them in natural light. I shot my last leopard with him around 5 in the evening albeit in a different location. In this undisturbed area where there is zero hunting pressure on any game the chances of shooting a leopard is as good as it gets anywhere. I am sure Dirk will be happy to do some pre-baiting as well if someone wants it done. There may be some nominal cost involved for bait animals.
Thanks,
Arjun

RSIMMONSDirk prides himself on his cat abilities. If you want to kill a leopard, this a good a chance as you'll get.
That first photo is awesome. This sounds like a good deal with a known PH.
