Long Range Rifleman’s Hunt in the Eastern Cape
Are you a Re-loader?

Are you Accurate?

Are you an Accurate Reloader?

Have you wondered how your loads and bullets will perform on big and small African game animals at distances of up to 400 yards?

Would you like to get a lot of shooting done in Africa and get a uniquely South African hunting experience, true hospitality and good food without burning a hole in your pocket?

I’ve just returned from a hunt in the Eastern Cape and was offered the following by the landowner …

A “cull” hunt with a difference available near Steynsburg in the Little Karoo - Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. This is a wide open area – part mountain / part grasslands approximately 3 hours drive from Bloemfontein and 4.5 hours from Port Elizabeth. Shooting distances will vary between 200 and 400 yards so this is not a hunt for the 45-70 enthusiasts out there but if you have a flat shooting rifle capable of bringing down a wildebeest sized animal and you know how to use it, it is a wonderful opportunity to hunt 15 animals during the day in their natural habitat and test not only your own shooting skills but also your rifle and bullet performance.

Included:

• Arrival Day
• Ground transportation from Bloemfontein Airport to ranch and back
• 5 Full 2X1 Hunting Days incl. of accommodations in comfortable farmhouse, meals, beverages, services of PH, hunting vehicle etc.
• Departure Day
• 2 X Black Wildebeest per hunter
• 3 X Blue Wildebeest per hunter
• 2 X Mountain Reedbuck per hunter
• 8 X Springbuck per hunter

Cost of Hunt - $3,500 per hunter. Observer Rate - $120p/d. Ideally 4 PAX but we are flexible so please contact us to work out a deal.
Mostly females will be hunted with the odd male in between. You can have all the skins / horns sent back to you should you wish to do so and also hunt trophy animals of available species at the following prices:

• Kalahari Springbok $450
• SA Springbok $300
• Black Springbok $450
• White Springbok $750
• Copper Springbok $1,000
• Common Blesbok $400
• White Blesbok $450
• Black Wildebeest $950
• Blue Wildebeest $950
• Waterbuck $2,200
• Red Lechwe $3,000
• Red Hartebeest $1,000
• Eland $2,300
• Mountain Reedbuck $450
• Vaal Rhebuck $1,200
• Zebra $1,200
• Steenbok $350
• Gemsbok $1,200

What would the cost be for extra days? Thinking might want to add 4-5. If you have this option next year I might be able to swing it. I'm not supposed to be back until 2013 but who knows. I would like to add all 5 springbok plus zebra and red hartebeest. You have my email address.
PS I can shoot out to about 150yds pretty good

Hey Kevin,

$300 per hunter p/d for extra days. Yes, this option will be available for next year although different species may need to be culled - the basic deal will be the same though - 5 large animals and 10 smaller ones.

I was hoping to see you back in Africa before 2013 so this would be a good opportunity for you and the gang... Tell you what - let's run a competition this time around... The hunter with the most one shot kills gets 10% discount on the package price - Hoe does that sound? Wink

Hartebeest, Zebra and all the different Springbok available in abundance and trophy quality is good too. tu2

Email on its way to you...

PS As I recall your Blue Wildebeest in Natal was shot at 275 yards and the Black one at something like 325 plus... No need to be modest - I've seen you shoot...
