Huh? That's almost $4,000 per day without trophy fees...

Africam Safaris
That is the price. Nothing added. I can show the agreement between the hunter and the company.

I believe you but I always had the impression that a discounted hunt would be slightly cheaper than the list price.

You must include the trophy fees in your ad.

I think, the discount can be discussed if a hunter is really interested.

I will write the trophy fees within 12 hours. It is very late evening in Moscow now.

You are right,"Offered" also qualifies. My remark was driven by imho the lack of attractiveness.

I had to chuckle at the absence of trophy fees in the ad. Figured if a guy was content with the daily rates, whatever the trophy fees were was pretty irrelevant. Smiler

You also have to include what is actually included in that price.

Tanzania never was a "cheap" hunting country. Safaris in Tanzania is like a "Rolls-Royce" car.

.
At USD 82.974,- you may as well round to USD 83.000,-

It's like 82999$ is not the same as 83000$ Smiler

I get the impression someone does not have a sense of humor rotflmo

Anyway, "rejected" hunts are normally offered at a steep discount.

Difficult to joke in foreign language.

Not to mention that elephant as well as lion are very unlikely to be taken in these once outstanding blocks. So basically you are looking at a leopard, buff and pg hunt. This also applies to many other areas in TZ as well these days.

WOW! Makes me glad I went when I had the chance.

Are you insinuating that the offer is "misleading" in a way??

No, just pointing out that due to the elephant poaching and the 6 year rule on lion in recent years the success rate on these species has declined drastically.

In this case it can be the "misleading" of the government as it regulates the licenses not the outfitters. As far as I know.

Luke Samaras is one of the great, long time safari operators in Tanzania. One of my earliest recollections of Africa are a video he did with Ken Wilson back when you could, and would, take 2 elephants,3 or 4 buffalo, lion and leopard on a single 21 day safari in Selous.

Luke has lived through 2 elephant poaching outbreaks in his long career in the Selous and am sure has seen many changes in his long career.

My hat is off to Mr. Samaras and his team.

My comment was directed to Safari2, not you.

Sorry for the confusion.

Good luck selling the hunt! It's out of my budget but I would LOVE to hunt Tanzania one day.

Definitely out of my 10 year budget
Tough deal at this price
Not to put anyone down, but I can't see these Tanzanian prices justified even for the well off guys.

Kind of the point I was trying to make in my earlier posts. IF the quality had held up in Tanzania it would be well worth it. Problem in TZ is that prices and the quality of the hunting have been going in opposite directions with a few exceptions.
