DIY outfitted baited black bear hunts in alaska
I have black bears. Lots of them. To many of them. Sometimes 6 at a time on my baits in early July. Bears I hit with rocks, some I kick dirt at while I dump food. I was going thru 8lbs of dog food per hour at one bait!!! I can’t afford to feed them. I need folks to come up and shoot some!
$4000 per person with a minimum two people max of 3. Three bear limit. I will keep them fed and provide a blind to hunt from. You bring your gear a gun and probably a knife sharpener!!
First two weeks of July. Get your bears and go do some
Halibut fishing or check Alaska out.
Don’t believe me? Text me and I’ll send some pictures!
Black bear tag is 450 each
Non resident hunt is 160

I will fly you out from
Anchorage Alaska and deliver you back at the end!

Jake:
How many days are these hunts? Do you provide assistance with the bear once one has been harvested?

You can stay up to a week, what kind of assistance would you need? I can help get them sealed and delivered to a expeditor or taxidermist
For you for sure!

I did just update the ad.

This hunt has a minimum of 2 hunters. I don’t think it would be wise to leave someone alone by a bear bait for a week in Alaska.

Jake:
Thank you for the clarification. I would be the only hunter. The assistance I was referring to would be caping and packing out the hide and meat.

I agree Jake. The average hunter online will likely trip, fall, knock their head and become bait themselves. You can vet the ones who have the experience with a few simple questions.

Have a great day!

Tommy what you’re looking for sounds more like a guided hunt. Having someone to take care of the game for you normally isn’t included in a DIY hunt.

Experience comes thru in conversation for sure! This year we had numerous black bears walk inside the blinds while we were in them. Had one come thru the window and sniff my face one night as well. Brown bears also frequent these baits as well. My worry would be a guy getting some sleep and waking up with a curious bear spooning him and whispering sweet nothings in his ear!

Man I wish this was a guided hunt. I have a bear jinx and this sounds like it could break it. I am honest enough to know I am not experienced enough to do this DIY.

I do guided hunts as well, but the price is considerably more

I can attest to there being a bunch of black bears on the bait. I killed 2 last year. 1 was a 7' er & the other I shot with a 44 mag S/W revelover.

What type of blinds are you using. You said you sleep in them

How bad are the bugs at that time of year. Can the blinds be made mostly bug proof.

Nothing like swarms of fies and mosquitoes to make thing uncomfortable.

I’m using barronette pop up blinds. I believe they are about 6’x12’. They are a double hub blind so very long. Room for sleeping bags to be laid out in the back half and hunting chairs in the front windows.

Thermacell inside these blinds and bugs are usually just fine. T shirt conditions!

Wow! I am currently on a church missionary legal assignment in Africa, but will be returning home in March 2025. So this hunt is for July 2025? That would be perfect for me and maybe one of my sons. We have family in Eagle River. Jake: I know you from years ago and we've met. UEG

Drop me a text 907-414-9471 and we can get it dialed in! Always nervous taking folks from Alaska. Did it once and the next year guess who was sitting on the hill I had taken them too the year before….

They vary. Some are great. Some are thin. Some are down right ugly.
